Semaphore

Set amongst the expansive sand dunes, Semaphore foreshore boasts a superb playground and vintage train running along the coast to Fort Glanville. During the summer school holidays, the foreshore is transformed as the carnival arrives with rides and sideshows.

For the more adventurous, why not walk down to Semaphore South and watch the parachuters landing (flights leave from Parafield). Perhaps bring your Windsurfer, SUP board or kayak and check out Semaphore Beach, West Lakes and Garden Island Dolphin Sanctuary from another angle! Military buffs would enjoy the entertaining tour of historical Fort Glanville. Top off the day with a refreshing sundowner and affordable meal on the balcony of the Semaphore Surf Life Saving Club, or a quick hit of tennis at Point Malcolm Reserve.
